I'm Shadman Taqi, from Dhaka. Phoenix Education began in 2021 as a Facebook page where I answered juniors' admission questions. It grew into live batches, a publishing arm and its own LMS. In 2025 came Automata One, the software company behind it all. I still answer the questions.

From competition mathematics to two companies, stage by stage.
Competitive mathematics came first: three divisional podium finishes at the Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad, a national ICT quiz title won at BUET, and 5th place in the divisional programming contest.
Computer Engineering undergraduate. Led teams at IEEE NSU Student Branch for three years, edited for Science Bee, and founded the NSU Academics and NSU Origin student communities.
Founded Phoenix Education to guide private university admission candidates. What began as free guidance grew into structured batches within months, driven entirely by demand.
Built Phoenix into a complete operation: eight published titles with four in Rokomari's career Top 50, a proprietary WebLMS, the Admission Assistant app with 20,000+ learners, and a team of more than sixty.
Founded Automata One to commercialise the software behind Phoenix, starting with an AI platform that transcribes and audits Bengali sales calls at scale.
Leading both companies from Dhaka: education that delivers results, and software that measures them.

Competition years, and what they left behind.
The first certificate with my name on it. Fifth in the Sylhet round of the national schools programming contest, and the only prize here I remember fondly for not winning. Somewhere between the bugs and the clock, I worked out I liked building things more than racing them.
The warm-up round. A divisional hall, a buzzer, and the discovery that years of reading about computers for fun had quietly become an unfair advantage. Winning felt less like luck and more like recognition.
The big one, on BUET's campus. What stayed with me is not the trophy, it is the silence before the final question and the certainty of knowing the answer before it finished. Some launch days still feel exactly like that.
The first olympiad podium. I walked in expecting nothing and walked out with a medal and a new definition of fun. A hard problem that finally gives way is still the purest joy mathematics has to offer.
One step higher than the year before. Improvement, it turns out, is boring up close: the same desk, the same notebook, hundreds of problems nobody claps for. A podium is just practice made visible.
The last medal before the building years began. Three podiums in three years left me with the rule I still run both companies on: talent opens the door, turning up every year keeps it open.

Boring where it should be boring, sharp where it counts.
The whole company runs on self-hosted infrastructure, because I like owning the stack down to the metal. On the AI layer, Gemini, DeepSeek and Claude all earn their keep.

Less than before, more than I should. A full teaching team runs the batches now, but I still answer admission questions myself. That habit started the whole company, so it stays.
